After pressure washing the arches

The first jobs on purchase were new tyres (Bridgestone SO2) because the originals were old and hard; a 12k service, gearbox oil change, brake fluid change and suspension set-up; I've also cleaned 20 years' worth of dirt out from the wheelarches.

I've replaced the door window seals / scrapers which had shrunk and gone hard and replaced the rusting exhaust with something stainless and fruity - M+K 1-in, 1-out back box and Scart pre-silencer.

A trackday at Oulton Park for the car's 20th birthday showed the deficiencies of the standard brakes so uprated pads and fluid were next, along with new discs and removing the3 backplates. In the end, I went for Boxster front calipers as well; lighter with four-pistons. I replaced the master cylinder with a larger bore turbo item and had the rear calipers rebuilt. However, Boxster DS3000s are very noisy, so I swapped back to rebuilt standard front calipers.

The 20-year-old Boges were soft enough to compress by hand so were swapped for Bilstein Sport front inserts and Sprint rear shocks. I've also added a Rennline strut brace.

I tried some Rota Fox 17" wheels, with SO2s again, but they were very heavy so I bought and renovated some period-appropriate Fondmetal crossspokes in 7&8" widths with Hankook RS2 tyres.

The car was getting very little use in 2009 so I toyed with selling it but at the moment I'm just driving it when I can.
